There are various types and sizes of gravel bike tyres, to adapt to the different routes and the rider’s needs.
A gravel bike’s tyres differ from road bikes in that the tyre section is higher and the tread pattern has more or less pronounced knobs. These features enable bikes to perform on both tarmac and uneven terrain.
There are different sizes of gravel bike tyres, which are expressed according to the French standard. For example, size 700x35c corresponds to an outer tyre diameter of 700mm and a width of 35mm. For more challenging terrain, gravel bike tyres up to 700x45c are suitable, while on mixed terrain, 700x40c gravel bike tyres are better.
